Hi, I’m Karimi Reid — a content and UX writer with a journalism background and a knack for turning complex information into clear, human language. I earned my B.A. in English with a focus in journalism and a minor in communications from Old Dominion University.
After five years teaching English in South Korea, I learned how powerful clarity and empathy can be in helping people understand — a skill that now shapes how I write. Since returning home, I’ve worked with Apple and GEICO, and now at Sentara Health, where I support over 5,000 staff by making medical and onboarding information simple and accessible.
Outside of work, I run SilkSundaze, my creative brand for digital storytelling and lifestyle content, and write romance stories about love, healing, and connection. Whether I’m helping a team communicate better or crafting a scene for my characters, my goal is the same: make people feel seen, supported, and understood.
