What you'll do

As part of the mechanical team, you will be the driving force behind the hardware, from initial design and prototyping to the final build and on-orbit performance. This role requires working across multiple disciplines and subsystems, collaborating with a team to develop solutions that will enable first-of-its-kind satellite servicing.

Responsibilities

• Designing and prototyping mechanical components
• Perform mechanical and thermal analysis for spacecraft systems
• Overseeing the manufacturing process and managing assembly and integration
• Testing physical hardware s[ystems and validating simulations

What we look for

Minimum requirements

• Pursuing or graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Physics, Electrical, or any related engineering discipline
• Strong grasp of fundamental concepts
• Experience with CAD
• Experience with analytical software, such as stress or thermal analysis
• Experience with control system modeling and design
• Strong written and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration with various subsystems in the space design teams

Preferred qualification

• Prior work in student satellite teams or tech teams, building collaboratively
