What you'll do
As part of the mechanical team, you will be the driving force behind the hardware, from initial design and prototyping to the final build and on-orbit performance. This role requires working across multiple disciplines and subsystems, collaborating with a team to develop solutions that will enable first-of-its-kind satellite servicing.
Responsibilities
- Designing and prototyping mechanical components
- Perform mechanical and thermal analysis for spacecraft systems
- Overseeing the manufacturing process and managing assembly and integration
- Testing physical hardware s[ystems and validating simulations
What we look for
Minimum requirements
- Pursuing or graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Physics, Electrical, or any related engineering discipline
- Strong grasp of fundamental concepts
- Experience with CAD
- Experience with analytical software, such as stress or thermal analysis
- Experience with control system modeling and design
- Strong written and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration with various subsystems in the space design teams
Preferred qualification
- Prior work in student satellite teams or tech teams, building collaboratively
