A mobile application for a fine dining restaurant located in Bacolod City offering rich and authentic Filipino cuisine. It allows singles to find their match online through meal preferences using the basis of our own curated menu that is infused with Filipino-cultured cuisine

Problems

There are several underlying consumer problems in the field of food industry. The following are the identified consumer problems: quality and safety concerns, price, mislabeling, hygiene, sustainability, poor service, food quality, sanitation issues, noise level, pricing, wait times, and communication.

1. Quality & Safety Concerns: Issues with food quality, freshness, and safety standards can impact consumer trust and health.
2. Price & Mislabeling: Unclear pricing and mislabeling of food items lead to confusion and dissatisfaction.
3. Hygiene & Sanitation: Poor hygiene and sanitation practices can result in health risks and negative dining experiences.
4. Poor Service & Communication: Slow service, long wait times, and poor communication reduce overall satisfaction.

Design Process

The design process is an iterative technique that aids in constantly enhancing and perfecting our design. We continually go through several stages of the design process while assessing designs at each stage.

• Empathize: Understand users’ needs, motivations, and pain points through interviews, surveys, and observation to ensure the design addresses real problems.
• Define: Synthesize research findings to clearly articulate the core problems and user needs, setting a focused direction for the project.
• Ideate: Brainstorm and generate a wide range of creative solutions, and exploring different approaches to address the defined problems.

What would I have done differently?

Another one of the most memorable projects not only simply because of the design but also the process. When projects are done by group, it is always a challenge to innovate a fresh idea that is not yet in the market. Considering as well the competitive landscape of the idea + industry is crucial to the group eventhough, a lot of ideas and copies are online. We like to make it difficult for ourselves.

With countless of brainstorming arguments(i'm not even kidding), we were able to come up a word play and then next thing you know it, the idea is born. The process of this project was a rollercoaster ride, but it was worth it. I learned that the design process is not just about creating something visually appealing, but also about understanding the users and their needs. It taught me the importance of collaboration and communication in a team setting, and how to effectively manage a project from start to finish.
