To measure project success, we are using a combination of surveys and interviews with nonprofit partners to understand how our products have influenced their organizations five years after delivery.

Project Registration

Register all Hack4Impact projects with Nationals using this Airtable form: https://airtable.com/shr9mQ5jtfwdqbL2W

When filling out the success metric questions, please note that all of these questions are rated on a scale from 0-10 by the nonprofit representative, and will read exactly as they are written in the registration form. Please make sure to phrase the question as you would like it to appear for the nonprofit representative, and ensure they are able to answer it using a scale from 0-10.

Good Example: How easily are volunteers able to ...?

Bad Example: Is it easy for volunteers to ... ? → This is not a question that can be easily answered on a scale from 0-10.

What is required from chapters?

  1. Chapters must register their projects with Nationals and include the success metrics upon which each nonprofit project should be evaluated. This registration will serve as the National Project Roster and help us create surveys for the nonprofit partners. To register, have PMs fill out this form: https://airtable.com/shr9mQ5jtfwdqbL2W
  2. PMs must notify their nonprofit representatives of this initiative. We want to remain trustworthy and create positive relationships with our partners, so we ask teams to be upfront about the expectation to complete these surveys at the beginning of the project.
  3. Currently, it is the responsibility of the project PMs to send the survey links to their nonprofit partners. We want to keep the connection between the individual chapter and each nonprofit so that we are able to build lasting partnerships. We hope you are motivated to put in the time to send out these surveys as they will help you create better partnerships and products in the future.
