Step 1: Review Mission

This program prepares students for entry-level positions in massage therapy and meets state educational requirements. Graduates are qualified to sit for the Massage & Bodywork Licensing Examination (MBLEx) and to apply for a state massage therapy license.

Step 2: Develop/Update Outcomes

Program Learning Outcome (PLO) 1:

Provide a professional and comprehensive massage session for a variety of populations.

Step 3: Design/update activities to achieve desired outcomes

Description: To achieve these outcomes, in addition to class lectures, lab, and course materials,

students will participate in field trips and scheduled massage sessions with a diversity of clients.

Action Items:

• Plan a field trip to a senior care facility to provide chair massage for elderly individuals.
• Plan a field trip to local facility to provide chair massage for physically and mentally differently-abled individuals.
• Arrange massage therapy appointments at our school clinic for clients of local drug and alcohol rehabilitation facility.
