Mother-to-be, please inform your reporting manager, Kartik Bansal and Mayankana Gupta, about your pregnancy as soon as your tests are confirmed by your doctor. We, for one, need to know, as our project plotting and allocation are affected, if we are informed late. Knowing in advance will give us the foresight to plan our work for the time you will be on leave and find someone who will fill for you during the days you are in recovery and bonding with your new child.

The policy is as under:

Let's start with the definitions

Eligible female employee in this context refers to female employees who can avail the benefit- She should have completed a minimum 80 days of employment in the 12 months immediately preceding her expected date of delivery.

An eligible female employee may seek maternity leave for a maximum period of 26 calendar weeks which shall be continuous and may spread over to:

The twenty-six (26) calendar weeks are inclusive of rest days, off days and public and national holidays. No maternity benefits can be claimed for any random or individual leaves on account of pregnancy, or delivery. The employee may avail a maximum of 8 weeks of the 26 weeks during pre-delivery period.

The employee is required to give 30 days notice before the start of maternity leave.

After the maternity leave is over the employee can begin work at the same position that was held prior to going on leave.

If an employee joins work without exhausting leaves facilities provided under this policy, the leaves will be ceased and forfeited and no right to encash such unused leaves will be allowed.

<aside> ⚠️ If an employee remains absent for three (3) consecutive weeks, after exhausting the leaves provided under this policy, without any intimation, CAW Studios reserves the right to dismiss or discharge such employee, with immediate effect.
