Problem Statement & Background

India has a long-standing cultural tradition of matching life partners through astrological compatibility, particularly Kundli Matching (a Vedic astrology process based on birth charts). However, this process is largely manual, opaque, and fragmented, involving astrologers, scanned PDFs of horoscopes, verbal opinions, and no standardized digitization of profiles.

In today’s digital-first world, young individuals often seek both modern platforms (like dating apps) and traditional validation (like astrology). But there exists no intelligent matchmaking solution that:

• Fully automates horoscope-based matchmaking
• Uses modern AI agent workflows
• Offers flexible, accessible interfaces for users to self-initiate matching
• Provides inclusive options (e.g., gender flexibility)
• Integrates with real astrological calculations via APIs

Objective

The aim of MatchMyStar is to build a smart, end-to-end matchmaking platform that:

• Leverages Indian astrology and Kundli matching
• Uses multi-agent orchestration on top of GenAIOS
• Pulls live candidate profiles from a real database (Supabase)
• Returns ranked matches with compatibility scores and astrological insights
• Requires no horoscope upload — just Date of Birth, Time Of Birth, and location
• Provides future extensibility (e.g., OCR for scanned horoscopes)

System Architecture

MatchMyStar is a modular AI agent system built on GenAIOS (AgentOS), designed for orchestrating decentralized, intelligent agents in an interoperable, protocol-based environment. It leverages a layered architecture with clear separation between user interface, agent workflows, and back-end services.
