Due to church indications, we didn't take alcohol as part of the bride price. Hence the monies written out were the monetary value for the drinks that were to be presented.
During the ceremony, the part where I had to present a drink to my father, we used a wrapped non-alcoholic champagne, also because of the 'no-alcohol' church policy.
Based on who your parents are, you can negotiate the list. I compiled the list with my parents. I left most of the bride items in there cause if we bought it now, I could use them until I needed to buy new sets. I still use everything in the bride items list except the bible (which I gave away)
I don't have a brother, so my folks decided we should make it 'sister-in-law' token for the money to go to my sister. Since she's been there with me & helping all along.
