Windows 10

To update Windows 10:

• Click the Start button, then select Settings
• Click Update & security
• 1. Click on Check for updates button – you can continue working whilst updates are applied but please restart your machine as soon as possible if prompted to do so
• 2. You may also see a message for a Feature update which is a wider system update – click Download and install to apply this.

Dell SupportAssist

Dell PCs can be further updated via Dell's SupportAssist application – for specific drivers, firmware and BIOS updates. To do this:

• Click the Start button, type SupportAssist, and press enter or click on it when it is shown as a result – If SupportAssist does not appear, you can download it here
• Ensure the Home tab is selected on the menu across the top, and click Run under Get drivers & downloads
• A scan will run and show you updates are available for your machine, click Update once this has finished to reveal all updates
• Unless advised otherwise, keep all updates selected/ticked and click Install to install all updates automatically – your PC may need to restart during this process
