There are a couple different ways to adjust the notification settings for your device and for individual apps. This article will review how to turn on and off notifications for different apps, as well as how to set up “Do Not Disturb” mode.

Accessing Notification Settings

  1. ⚙ Navigate to your device Settings page

  2. Locate the tab labelled “Notifications

From here you can adjust how much information is displayed in the notification and change notification settings for individual apps.

  1. To turn On or Off notifications for apps, Select the "App Notifications” Tab. This will open a list of all apps

  2. Click the toggle button to turn On notifications (the toggle will turn blue), or to turn Off notifications (the toggle will turn grey).

  3. You can set more specific settings for each app by clicking a particular app to open its settings page. These additional settings are explained more below.

Notification Style

  1. To control which notifications show on your lock screen, Select the Lock Screen Notifications tab. Select the level of privacy you would like.

  2. Under Notification Pop Up style, you can select either brief description, or detailed. This is useful for text messages, so that others can not read the contents of the message when you receive a notification. Alternatively, you may want to read the whole message without unlocking your phone, and you can set it accordingly.

Do Not Disturb Settings ❗🚨

🔕🔔 Do not disturb mode will prevent any notifications from coming through while it is turned on. This is useful for work, or overnight when you are sleeping.

✅ You can create preset time periods that will automatically activate the do not disturb setting. You can also select specific apps, or phone numbers that will be able to get through. This is useful if you have family members or friends you want to be able to reach you at any time.

📌Another useful setting for emergencies is allowing calls to come through after calling twice in a row. This tells your phone to consider the call important, and break through the do not disturb setting.
