Introduction

Domains that you want to track are called "Websites" or "Measurables" in our system. The counterpart for this in Google Analytics are "Properties".

In this tutorial we will show you how to change, delete and add domains.

Change domain

If you want to change an existing tracking domain, please click on the gear in the upper right corner and then on Websites > Manage:

Untitled

You will now see all the websites you have access to. By clicking on this icon you can edit a website:

Untitled

Here you can enter the displayed name and the URL of the page you want to track. If the page is accessible under several URLs, you can also enter several addresses in the field for the URL (one below the other).

This has the advantage that no other website can embed your tracking code and thus falsify your reports. However, you must then ensure that the URL is entered correctly in the "URL" field.

You usually don't need to change the other settings. If you do, you can find support for this in the Matomo documentation.

Delete domain

If you want to delete a tracking domain, click here in the overview:

After that you have to confirm the deletion again to be on the safe side:

Untitled

Please note that this will delete all data collected about the website.
