How can machine learning aid in the creative process? Generated text is not going to surpass good writings. However, some unexpected connection is inspiring in the form of poetry. Same goes for generated images. Humans are good at seeing meanings and appreciating what is visually beautiful. By tuning / selecting machine generated poetry & illustrations, an interesting collection of work can be made.

Built on a spur of white light, A little bay on a hill Where star-crossers cross a bridge And division is noon. The curving road, when it stops, Has sight, in everlasting village, A marching army, trained and armed; The roads rolling rolling hill, But like a tank of mud, they pass.
And at midnight the rainbow spreads; An army slow in advance Whither sudden men rush, to and fro, And carts pass unawares, At intervals the colors yellow, green, And red, and gold, and most almost blue, Between sunrise and sunset.

Sleep
The stars
Are brooding on our fallen skies;
Mankind is doomed!
As a dew-dropped peach shed its soft,
Not knowing its place
Outside the nursery pantomime,
But knowing for sure it's there;
it's like the sunrise, the sunset, the dawn, the sun
Have all mapped out:
No sunrise here, just a night
Where fresh foliage sleeps.
