Analyst position

We're looking for an Analyst to join our investment team. You'll be working at the heart of one of Europe's most active investors, helping to identify high-potential companies, invest in them and support them through their growth journey.

What to expect

You’ll get an immense amount of responsibility, accountability, and exposure to early-stage venture. You’ll meet with founders, research markets and opportunities, do deal-related work, contribute to fund strategy and represent MMC in the ecosystem.

Key parts of the Analyst role include:

• Researching new exciting markets and technologies - going deep to understand what's really going on and what trends are likely to shape the spaces we are interested in over the coming years.
• Identifying companies, discussing them with the MMC team and helping to track their progress over time.
• Taking a lead role on our deal tracking and sourcing processes, including wrangling the tools and data that we use and coming up with new ideas to improve the way that we do things.
• Supporting senior team members in taking investment opportunities from first meeting through to closing, including analysis and due diligence.
• Getting involved with the venture ecosystem, including working with our Community team on projects to support our portfolio and wider network.
• Helping to turn our research and due diligence work into insight that can be shared with entrepreneurs or published online, and starting to build your voice and profile in the ecosystem.

The majority of your time will be spent working closely with the Partners, Principals, Investment Managers and Associates in the investment team. However, you will get exposure to the rest of the MMC team too, including investor relations and our fundraising activities.
