The power button is located on the right side of the unit. Press the button for 1 second to turn on, 2 seconds to turn off. The button is slightly recessed by design to prohibit unintentional power cycles when stored.

Use the Micro USB connector to charge the unit. The charge level and charging indication status can be found at the top right of the display. M8 is charging when the icon is animating. When the unit is being charged while powered off, the backlight on the display will stay illuminated to indicate that the unit is charging.
Note that on the beta units, the power button and SD card slots are reversed. The Midi In/Out are also not switchable between Midi A and B, like the production units are able to.
