Smart Home Mobile App
This was a test project for a job application, completed within a two-week deadline while working full-time. I focused on creating a feasible, consistent, and developer-ready design, though I had to skip the component creation stage due to time constraints. I intentionally included more features than a real MVP would require to showcase my skills. Despite many sleepless nights 🥱, it was worth it—I passed the interview.

The dashboard is a shared space where all family members can access and control home devices. Since each user have different priorities, I designed customizable widgets that can be resized, added, or rearranged with simple gestures — two-finger tap to resize, long-press to move or edit — inspired by Apple’s intuitive interactions.
To help new users discover these features, the onboarding flow includes subtle in-app guidance highlighting interactive areas.
Users can also set automation rules, like automatically turning off lights or activating Meditation Mode, which adjusts lighting, air conditioning, and music.
Ecosystem synchronization remained one of our core value propositions.

The AI assistant allows users to complete tasks quickly, access statistical data from home devices, and perform available actions within the app. For example, you can ask: “Show me yesterday’s outdoor camera short videos.” It also supports voice commands to make interaction faster and more efficient. I was thinking of integrating ElevenLabs to add speech-to-text support.
