Hi Trang,

This is my hallucination story. I want to share what I’ve been looking for and what I saw with you, because I want to find company on this adventure. My actual goal is to discover the irrational and genuine me, that’s why I think the trip is longer than the literal trips. It’s probably as long as my life, though I haven’t traced the root. Long implies messy, so I am writing to untangle the mess and communicate it as clearly as I can.

Right now it’s July, I want to chat with you about your eating mushroom last week. I actually wrote a bunch about my April mushroom experience back in May, so I’m going to revise some to tell you.

(Maybe it’d be helpful to contextualize my trip-themed timeline: I probably had my first sight in 2004, started drawing plants and buddhist statues in 2010, made an animation about visual hallucination with a team in February-September 2017, started subconscious journaling in preparation for writing novel during summer 2019, read about psychedelic plants in June 2020, asked my stepmom to tell my fortunes in August, ate truffles in October, bought mushrooms in February 2021, ate mushrooms in April, and started writing in May.)

First, I want to ask you some questions hehe.

Here are the questions that got us started:

Then, I think a pretty clear structure for sharing trip experiences is “why you took it? what did you see? what did you take away?” so I will borrow that:

What I was looking for, why I took mushrooms:
