—GENERAL TIPS
- Get a Sunday Roast at any pub (late lunch)
- Nandos… Duh.
- Afternoon Tea - literally anywhere (although Sketch was insanely good of the ones I’ve had)
- Skip the expensive viewing experiences at the Shard and go to Sky Garden— a free rooftop garden/bar/restaurant, but book in advance for guaranteed entrance!

—PUBLIC TRANSPORT
- Oyster Cards = Transport cards
- TFL = Transport for London
- National Rail Services = bring you outside the London area
- Underground + Overground = the subway system
Busses, Underground, Overground, + Ferries all take Oyster Cards or contactless credit cards! Oyster Cards are £5 and you can get them at most tube shops and many corner stores, top them up or buy a day pass from tube stations at the ticket machines. Only get the day pass/week pass if you think you will be using the tube/bus more than three times a day. There is a cap of how much you can spend per day so it just automatically stops charging you if you hit the limit, it doesn't matter if you use your Oyster or contactless/apple pay
National Rail Day Trip Tips:
- Trainline website will be the go to to book train in advance but you can buy tickets at the machines in any National Rail station
- Buy an open return ticket and then you won’t have to worry about which train you take
- If trains are delayed more than 15 minutes, you get a refund!
