The perception that we have about education and learning in general is flawed, Formal education has made education an entity that cannot be received outside the centralized authority. Most people by the time they finish their formal education(school + college) think that education and learning is over for them and they feel somewhat relived after going through that exhausting experience.
As we grow old we become less and less curious and our environment has a lot to do with it, curiosity is a very essential element when considering learning as a domain, the failure of formal institutions to instill curiosity among students is what causes people to be so misaligned.
One fatal error which the formal education has is iterating on methods which have now become obsolete, right now learning anything has more than one dynamic attached to it and most of the people are still unaware of how to approach learning.
Learning to learn is something which is the most fundamental checkpoint and is also the most least talked about topic. I don't remember any of my friends while I was in school or college talking to me about learning to learn.
Now I have a lot of things to say about learning to learn but Sahil Bloom has made my task easier by curating all those dynamics in a better way which is very much easier to understand and iterate upon.
To absolutely win in the current economy, we have to adapt ourselves with the skill of learning anything easily, and even if I remove the notion of winning or earning, learning constantly is the only way to be dynamic in life, now that the acceleration of innovation has increased, it is very difficult to keep track of what is happening especially with the crypto space and looking at the bigger picture, who doesn't want to learn everything they are interested in?
In cartoons and comics, characters who have a multitude of abilities/powers have always fascinated me. The idea of being limited to a single domain for our entire lives restricts our field of vision and also influences how we perceive this world.
The ability to learn skills across different domains and being able to iterate upon them is perhaps the best use of human mind according to me.
