<aside> 🔑 Connection to Scaling: To scale at quality, Kidogo will need to increase the profitability of the program and part of this is lowering the 37% spent on food for the food program. Additionally, supporting local resources for needs related to Kidogo ECDs will help support the local economy and create trust within the community.

"Build trust and increase community involvement in Kidogo ECD programs."

1. The Community Garden

<aside> 💡 We recommend creating a community garden to reduce nutrition program costs by x amount.

The first step to creating the distributed community garden is to discuss it with the community. Next, resources will have to located and priced within the community because using local resources for this garden will be a key component to increasing community involvement.

Then the land for the garden will need to be cleared beside the regional hub. The first one being the Kidogo office for Kenya. Finally, the garden can be built with help of the community.

After the gardens are created, workshops can help to teach regional managers and staff on how to tend for the crops.

Our new recommendation includes using sack gardening and various hydroponic farming methods in the form of vertical farming for efficient resource usage and space optimization.
