Links Journal is private by design. We don't collect, store, or transmit any of your personal data. Everything stays on your device.
All data you enter into Links Journal — including rounds, scores, courses, memories, grades, notes, and photos — is stored exclusively on your iPhone using Apple's on-device database technology (SwiftData). We do not operate servers, databases, or cloud infrastructure of any kind. Your data never leaves your device through our app.
Links Journal does not collect:
We have no tracking SDKs, no analytics frameworks, and no third-party code that collects data.
When you search for a golf course, Links Journal uses Apple's MapKit framework to find results. This search request is handled entirely by Apple's servers under Apple's own privacy policy. We do not see, store, or have access to your search queries or results.
Photos you attach to rounds, courses, or memories are stored locally on your device as part of the app's data. They are compressed for storage efficiency but never uploaded, shared, or transmitted. The app accesses your photo library only when you explicitly choose to attach a photo, using Apple's system photo picker.
