People often ask me, "Hey Leon, which camera should I buy?" or "Hey Leon, I have this camera, but the quality sucks!"

I was exactly the same 😂! I watched videos where creators would say "I film everything with my phone." I thought, "No way! I film with a camera and my quality isn't even close to theirs." I was convinced they were all lying.

My shots were either too bright or too dark. I had no idea how to light and film in a way that would develop my own style.

One day I discovered that lighting is more important than the camera—so let's dive right in.

My favorite technique is called „REMBRANDT LIGHTING“

Rembrandt lighting (with one light):

The most important light in any setup is the „KEY LIGHT”.

Position it at a 45-degree angle to your left or right—whichever side you prefer.

This setup alone is a great starting point, and it will already make your videos look significantly better.

We'll add a bit of style by placing a light in the background.

Rembrandt Lighting (Two Lights):

The first light is, once again, the „KEY LIGHT”, positioned at a 45-degree angle and directed toward you. The second light acts as the „FILL LIGHT”, placed roughly 45 degrees behind you on the shadow side.

It’s important to ensure that both lights have the same brightness (5600K).

This technique is already highly effective, and it’s the one I use most often in my videos.

However, I’ll still walk you through the final technique, which is the one most content creators rely on:
