People often ask me, "Hey Leon, which camera should I buy?" or "Hey Leon, I have this camera, but the quality sucks!"
I was exactly the same đ! I watched videos where creators would say "I film everything with my phone." I thought, "No way! I film with a camera and my quality isn't even close to theirs." I was convinced they were all lying.
My shots were either too bright or too dark. I had no idea how to light and film in a way that would develop my own style.

One day I discovered that lighting is more important than the cameraâso let's dive right in.
My favorite technique is called âREMBRANDT LIGHTINGâ
Rembrandt lighting (with one light):
The most important light in any setup is the âKEY LIGHTâ.
Position it at a 45-degree angle to your left or rightâwhichever side you prefer.
This setup alone is a great starting point, and it will already make your videos look significantly better.
We'll add a bit of style by placing a light in the background.

Rembrandt Lighting (Two Lights):
The first light is, once again, the âKEY LIGHTâ, positioned at a 45-degree angle and directed toward you. The second light acts as the âFILL LIGHTâ, placed roughly 45 degrees behind you on the shadow side.
Itâs important to ensure that both lights have the same brightness (5600K).

This technique is already highly effective, and itâs the one I use most often in my videos.
However, Iâll still walk you through the final technique, which is the one most content creators rely on:
