“Experience is not what happens to a man, it is what a man does with what happens to him”—Aldous Huxley

Chapter 1 : Forgetting the Keys

We should never forget our roots even after having an immense success in the material world. Staying grounded is all it takes to live a happier life.

Chapter 2 : Seeing Beyond the Obvious

‘As I have said, the first thing is to be honest with yourself. You can never have an impact on society if you have not changed yourself . . . Great peacemakers are all people of integrity, of honesty, but humility.’ — Nelson Mandela

Behind the smiles, everyone is going through personal struggles we know nothing about.

We have built a surrounding where we judge others by their appearance and not what they feel from inside. Sometimes a good looking successful person is fighting himself inside. Little do we know how they are batting them.

Chapter 3 : The Journey Begins

Having a friend to listen to your problems and discuss them with you is the beginning of finding a solution.

‘The journey of a thousand miles begins with one step.’ —Lao Tzu

Many times when people we care for share their problems to us, they do not want the solution to the problem instantly. Instead hearing them until they are finished is all they might need. Never come up with a solution as soon as it pops up in your mind, wait until the person has finished saying. “Our silent presence can be more powerful than a million empty words.”

Chapter 4 : Growing through Gratitude

Time slows for no one. It changes everything and everyone but how we perceive the change, positive or negative, is up to us.

When negativity consumes the mind, not only do we lose the vision to see the beautiful things around us, but also the ability to solve the problems that confront us. We have to train our mind to focus on the positive and feel empowered to deal with the negative.
