Employment services

Core contributors can access payroll and accounting services through our two employment services partners. Opolis is an employment cooperative offering independent workers benefits, payroll, and shared services in the U.S. and Canada. WorkDAO delivers payroll, legal & compliant employment to contributors globally. Medical, vision, and dental coverage is provided through our employment service partners. Please check out our guides to Opolis and WorkDAO, then reach out to Sandy if you want to be connected to either servicer.

Payments, Taxes, & GTC

Gitcoin is not an employer and does not provide tax, legal or accounting advice. The following guide was prepared for informational purposes only, and is not intended to provide, and should not be relied on for tax, legal, or accounting advice. You should consult WorkDAO, Opolis, or your own tax, legal, or accounting advisor with questions about taxes.

GTC is Gitcoin’s token and is an Etherum based ERC-20 token that was deployed on the Ethereum Mainnet. GTC is a governance token that is commonly used to reward the work of Gitcoin contributors. It has a value to those speculating on it and it can be sold on exchanges or converted to Ether or other tokens on most DeFi and CeFi exchanges.
