What's The Point?

Based on Erik Erikson's 7 stages of psychosocial development, Christopher Alexander argues that communities and neighborhoods must incorporate the settings and rites of passage for each stage. He argues this inclusion is important for balanced and regulated relationships for each individual to each stage in the life cycle, so they learn how to relate to others of diverse stages, as well as learn how to understand themselves when they enter the stage.

A community is incomplete or unregulated when these settings and rites of passage do not appear, which means there is higher chance of being unable to "solve conflicts" during each stage because there are few models to look up to.

At Plot Twisters, we want to introduce topics that a human might face at any age. Our goal is to contextualize these settings and rites of passage (below) in our language and make them digestible.
