Problem statement

We’ve had some discussions and PRs around the NSID prefix hierarchy for the Hypercerts ATProto lexicons:

• https://github.com/hypercerts-org/hypercerts-lexicon/pull/14/files— keeps org.hypercerts.claim.* but introduces the directory hierarchy
• https://github.com/hypercerts-org/hypercerts-lexicon/pull/16— changes to org.hypercerts.impact.* (based on my suggestion) and introduces the directory hierarchy

but we haven’t come to an explicit decision yet.

Out of scope

Deciding the NSID for the location lexicon, which should also be reusable outside Hypercerts, and is informed by the work at Astral and the Geospatial Consortium.

Candidates

Personally I think these are the two best candidates:

• org.hypercerts.claim.*
• org.hypercerts.impact.*

I was previously thinking the latter made more sense e.g.

• org.hypercerts.impact.claim
• org.hypercerts.impact.measurement

but now I'm coming round to the idea that the other option might be better e.g.

• org.hypercerts.claim.impact
• org.hypercerts.claim.measurement

This could even allow for posting of claim data beyond the impact space, although I'm not sure if that's good or bad.
