You've learned about tasks, Projects, Areas of Responsibility, and Goals. But what's the difference?
Here are the definitions:
- Task: a single action, which can be completed in a single work session, defined as a Next Action
- Project: a collection of active, related tasks with a deadline
- Area of Responsibility: an ongoing part of your life with a standard to be maintained
- Goal: a specific, measurable long-term result you are striving for in some aspect of your life
Here are some examples:
- Task: Call contractor to ask for quote on roof repair
- Project: Repair Roof
- Area of Responsibility: House
- Goal: Pay off mortgage completely by 2025
Action:
