PIES is a simple but powerful framework I use to check in with myself holistically—Physically, Intellectually, Emotionally, and Spiritually. It’s a daily practice of presence and alignment, especially when things feel chaotic or overwhelming.

This awareness came into my life through my Yoga Teacher Training, where we began to understand the layers of the self—the koshas, or subtle bodies. I realized I had been tending to parts of myself in isolation: working out without processing emotions, reading without moving my body, meditating but forgetting joy.

PIES gave me a sacred structure to reunite all parts of me.

This isn’t about being perfect—it’s about being present.
