League Marshals are boss Trainers that can be identified by their deep red outfit. They serve a couple of purposes:

• If you’ve caught all available species in a certain area, they can enable your Omni Repel. This will indefinitely ward off wild Pokémon on that map only. You can turn the Omni Repel on and off by interacting with the item under the Key Items tab in your Bag.
• If you’ve defeated all Trainers in the area, you can battle the League Marshal. Doing so will net you a reward, and re-enables all Trainers on the map. Trainers that have been reset will have stronger teams than before.
• Not every area has a League Marshal. One way to gauge whether a League Marshal is present somewhere is by checking the trophy icon on your Town Map. If the icon is silver, it means that you defeated all Trainers except the League Marshal. If it’s gold, that either means you already defeated the League Marshal for that area, or that there isn’t one present.
• League Marshals can be rebattled, but they do not hand out a reward after their first defeat.
