Role Overview
GenUnity is seeking a creative and dynamic leader who wants to support a diverse group of everyday adults to build their capacity to critically evaluate, navigate, and drive change on community issues. Working with GenUnity’s Program Director, the Lead Facilitator will head a facilitation team of 5-6 to create space for ~50 community members to unpack Health Equity in Greater Boston.
Responsibilities
The Lead Facilitator will support GenUnity’s Spring Health Equity program in the following ways:
- Facilitate 7 cohort-wide sessions - each session is approximately 2 hours long
- Kickoff (2 sessions)
- People (1 session)
- System (1 session)
- Power (1 session)
- Change (1 session)
- Concluding celebration (1 session)
- Facilitate small group experiences (~90 minutes / every other week)
- Co-lead ~40-minute prep meetings with the facilitation team ahead of each session

- Highly relational, with a strong belief in the importance of relationship-building for success, both internally and externally
- Self-motivated, innovative, and creative—can balance bold ideas and vision with ability to operationalize and execute
- Approach the work with a growth mindset and an openness to giving and receiving feedback for continuous learning and improvement
- Track record of “rolling up your sleeves” and working collaboratively with others to bring projects to successful completion
- A great sense of humor—we’re serious about not taking ourselves too seriously!
