Citizen support lab since 2018. Active locally through English workshops, educational summer camps, media literacy workshops, and podcasts with associations for people with disabilities, monthly newspapers in retirement homes… Le Lab is also involved in international programs such as OFAJ and Erasmus+. The organization, which is KA1 and ESC accredited, regularly organizes training courses and youth exchanges, mainly in its local area, and thanks to its European volunteers, it provides non-formal education workshops in the city's middle and high schools. Needs for community spaces : Ideally, (in a few years maybe) a place where we can accommodate and feed participants coming from different countries, but also make this place available to local associations.

Since 2020 and its entry into the Erasmus+ programme, the association has noticed a clear shortcoming: the lack of shared spaces that can host events for various international programmes, as well as the workshops that Le Lab wanted to set up in the city. The city does provide venues for associations, but they are restrictive in terms of availability and logistics. Furthermore, with the acquisition of KA1 accreditation, ESC, the Lab's growing activities, the welcoming of young entrepreneurs, Catalan students, etc., the need for reception space is becoming increasingly apparent. Our only reliable options today are: the MFR in Saint-Désirs and the Château d'Hermival. However, one is only available outside of the school year, and the other outside of the summer period and low season for its activity, which limits our options.

The city of Lisieux launched a call for projects to revitalise a priority neighbourhood in the city and offer new opportunities to residents and young people in the neighbourhood. The association therefore reached an agreement with the city to obtain a room in the Hauteville neighbourhood to organise media education workshops and world cafés, thanks to its expertise in the field of non-formal education.

We remain on the lookout for calls for projects from the city, the county, the region and/or the government in order to benefit from financial assistance, new partners and collaboration. The Mozart Hall was obtained in this way.
