PR DETAILS

The Layer Masks feature allows you to control the transparency/visibility of a layer using various mask types. It's a non-destructive way to hide or reveal parts of a layer.

Masks works on all layers types- however currently each layer can only have one mask (image mask)

Support for other Mask types such as: Vertex, Gradient and procedural textures may be supported in the future

Adding a Mask

When Selecting a Layer, users can add a Mask under Layer Settings.

This will create an image for the mask- prompting if you would like the mask to be show all or Hide all initially.

Hide All (Black mask)

Starts fully hidden. Paint white to reveal parts.

Show all (White Mask)

<aside> ⚠️

Image Masks are exclusive to a material. This means copying and pasting a layer as a Linked Layer, does not copy the image mask as well.
