This is a brief, bold claim that contradicts a common belief, then you prove it. And here's why it works: The brain pays attention to contradiction; it triggers curiosity and reappraisal. A good contrarian post forces readers on LinkedIn to re-check their assumptions and tag peers.

Structure: Hook (contrarian sentence) 1–2 data or anecdote shots Short explanation One tactical takeaway CTA (ask a provocative question).

Example template:

Hook: “Everyone tells you to X. That’s backwards.” Proof: “Here’s one case where X fails: [ show them a micro-case or stat].” Lesson: “Do Y instead, because [one-sentence rationale to validate your claim].” CTA: “Who still believes X? Tell me why.”
