Privacy Manifesto
Your life belongs to you.
At Left., we believe that privacy is a fundamental human right. We are building a mirror for your existence, not a surveillance tool. We have no interest in your data, your habits, or your secrets. We sell software, not users.
This policy is simple because our business model is simple: You pay us once, and the app is yours.
1. Data Collection & Storage
We do not collect, store, or sell your personal data.
- Local First: All your data—your birthdate, your life expectancy settings, your weekly ratings, and your "Monolith" notes—is stored locally on your device using Apple's SwiftData framework.
- iCloud Sync: To ensure your data survives across devices, we use Apple's CloudKit. Your data is stored in your personal iCloud Private Database.
- We (the developers) cannot access this data.
- Apple encrypts this data. Only you possess the keys to unlock it.
2. Permissions & Features
Left. may request the following permissions to function. You can revoke these at any time in iOS Settings.
- Notifications (Optional):
- Used solely for the "Weekly Judgment" (Mondays) and "Birthday" reminders.
- These are Local Notifications. They are scheduled on your device. We do not use remote push servers to track you.
3. Third-Party Analytics
We do not use third-party analytics trackers.
- We have removed all marketing SDKs (e.g., Google Analytics, Facebook Pixel, Mixpanel).
- We do not know who you are, how often you open the app, or what you write in your notes.
- We may receive anonymous, aggregate crash reports provided by Apple (via App Store Connect) to help us fix bugs. This data contains no personally identifiable information.
4. No Ads
Left. is an ad-free experience.
We do not serve ads. We do not profile you for advertisers.
5. Your Rights
