King Moffesto Aldarium is the current ruling king of Aldrium. His seat of power is in the city of Aldrun within Castle Aldrun which is where kings in recent eras have traditionally resided. King Aldarium is a controversial figure in the region with many under his rule blaming him for a significant degradation in their kingdom's power and wealth over the past 10 years.
The King and his allies would argue that issues arising over the past 10 years have been primarily caused by the neighboring kingdom of Arkhyze. Reports state that continuous efforts have been made at sabotaging King Aldarium and flooding Aldrium with propaganda. King Aldarium and his allies have worked hard to counter these efforts, but seem to be failing. They have attempted to avoid war at all costs, feeling that the Kingdom of Arkhyze is too strong for them to defeat in open battle.
The King's detractors would argue that this is nothing new and his job is to protect the kingdom from outside influence. They consider the king cowardly and too afraid of standing up to the Kingdom of Arkhyze. They feel that he destroyed the once prosperous relationship with the southern Kingdom of Sarmasia who could have supported the king in his war effort against Arkhyze if it came to that. Overall, they feel as if King Aldarium has gravely weakened the kingdom and left Aldrium vulnerable to outside attack.
