If you have been using Twitter as your consumption suit for learning new stuff or connecting with folks or, in general, as a new source, I am sure you might have used the bookmarking feature a lot. I bet it might have gotten to the point where you bookmark the tweet you like, only never revisit it. What about a tweet that you bookmarked a few months ago? You get what I am talking about. Right? Many people face similar problems. Twitter planned to introduce this feature where you can create folders for Bookmarks. But it’s a paid feature & not available yet.
If we expand the scope to other social sites like Reddit, Discord, LinkedIn, etc., you can see the big picture about how difficult it is to manage & keep track of all your bookmarks.
We want to create a one-stop dashboard where users can bookmark as many tweets as they wish while adding multiple tags to their bookmark tweets. We provide them with a dashboard with a search bar, making it easier for them to revisit those marked tweets. This is just the basis of the core product. As you can see in the planned features doc, we have planned multiple features to improve the experience further. We might also add a paywall to provide us all with monetary benefits.
Not only that, we now plan to make TweepsBook a one-stop place for all your social bookmarks. Saved posts from Instagram, LinkedIn, Reddit, Discord, Pinterest, Facebook, etc. can all be viewed & tagged via our dashboard.
We are all college students. We have the time & resources to build something that people will actually use. Learning together is the best way to learn & when all the indie devs & designers get involved, you are sure to learn at a much faster pace while making countless new learnings & connections. You learn how to function as a team. Working on this project gives you ownership of the full product & hence responsibilities to deliver on something. This is a fantastic opportunity towards something greater we don’t know yet.
