The agency said that despite a deal with the International Monetary Fund and backed by World Bank support, a sharp slowdown in GDP growth in 2020 tied to the coronavirus pandemic, and a consequent rise in fiscal deficits, will weigh on Kenya's already weak public finances and external debt metrics. Moody's credit rating for Kenya was last set at B2 with negative outlook. Fitch's credit rating for Kenya was last reported at B+ with negative outlook. .
