Staying in South City, SF now
-
Sleeper team - 50 people, went full remote
- Have some hubs, 8 people in Seattle, 10 in NY, majority still here
- Weird situation - not a lot of people show up to meetups, people crave interaction with each other
- Meeting up in person is great - miss early days when you had 5-6 people, worked from each other houses
-
Being in person would help a lot with communication issues
- Thinking back - wasn’t hard to stay in sync when the guy is sitting next by, everyone else hears
- Now: Happens on Slack. Try to minimize DMs. If you send your friend a DM message, an important piece, you have to broadcast that actively
- Just talking, not trying to hide stuff
- Now: more of a notion culture, but you have to do it
- At our size: nice to do, but takes time and energy, how it’s documented, vs luxury of just talking about stuff that happens naturally
