The ultimate goal of EdenOS is to solve Governance by offering an Independent Open Source Platform where communities can spin it up and run as desired.
The genesis of a new community happens in the EOS blockchain where all the members are created with their profile info, including their pictures, induction (or genesis) ceremony video and NFTs are minted.
And by being an independent platform it still needs a source of truth mechanism to reach community consensus, hence EOS Blockchain. Anyone can read the blockchain data and all the members can push transactions.
The challenge actually happens when we need to handle external services like serving media files, orchestrating video conferences and such.
The goal of this design is to state what are the current dependencies and pave a way of how we can mitigate them in the long term.
