History

Prior to the RHR FlexRadio architecture we ran on Elecraft K3's. Elecraft sold a remote head called the K3/0-Mini pictured above. When we made the transition to FlexRadio we added in support that allows the K3/0-Mini to control a number of Flex functions. This allowed our users who invested in the hardware while running on the Elecraft platform to continue using their investment on the new platform.

Connecting your K3/0-Mini to the RHR FlexRadio network.

What do you need?

  1. A computer running MacOS X or Windows 10.
  2. You need to be running the RHR Desktop App, this is not Google Chrome browser. If you are running Google Chrome head over here and download the App. https://update.remotehamradio.com
  3. Elecraft K3/0-Mini - +12v source connected and USB cable connected between the Mini and your PC.
  4. Both your K3/0 and your App's baud rate settings must be set to 38400.

Setup

Selecting the correct COM port. You can see from the pull down menu showing the available COM ports that we "Recommend" the correct COM port to Select. In my example this is COM3.
