In the previous 3 months, the app garnered more than 20,000 preorders.

NEW YORK, NY, March 6, 2019 — Today, Jour became available for iOS download for the first time.

Jour offers its users a traditional journaling space, where they can free write whenever they want, as well guided Journeys, which use interactive prompts to address specific topics such as recording dreams, combatting anxious feelings, and daily reflection.

Over the course of the previous 3 months, the app gained more than 20,000 preorders on the app store.

The team behind Jour is led by founders Maxime Germain, Bobby Giangeruso, and Justin Bureau.

Maxime, who is Jour's CEO, previously cofounded ArtList, a platform to buy and sell fine art that was acquired by artnet in 2016, and Stellar Base, a startup studio and consulting firm hybrid.

"I wanted to create a product that will help people create an authentic record of their daily life as well as the person they want to become," Maxime explains. "I think we're at an important crossroads in our culture where people are becoming more conscious of and care more about mental health and wellness."

"We really tried to design a product that’s mindful of people’s time and make the relationship you have with your phone healthier.” said Giangeruso, who was previously a designer at Sunrise, and worked on the design for Outlook mobile after Sunrise was acquired by Microsoft.

Jour is available for download from the App Store. The team plans to release an Android version of the app in the coming month.
