Stakeholder interview
The first stage of the work was an interview with the client. I prepared a list of questions that helped me better understand the product, business goals, and functional expectations for the future CRM platform.
After the interview, I gained some important insights:
- The platform is designed for professionals who work with a large number of contacts — managers, recruiters, HR specialists, and networkers.
- The main value of JonCRM is the automation of networking and the preservation of communication history.
- The landing page should show the simplicity and humanity of the product: “We help connect people.”
- The brand colors should be associated with openness, lightness, and modernity.
- At the time of work, the product had not yet been developed, so the key task was to create a concept for the future platform and form the right first impression through the landing page.
Competitor overview
During the research phase, I analyzed competitors in the field of CRM and networking platforms. The goal was to identify key patterns, market strengths, and opportunities for JonCRM to differentiate itself.
Key findings:
- Most CRM services are overloaded with complex features and lack emotional positioning.
- Competitors have a weak visual narrative that helps users feel the “value of connections.”
- JonCRM can stand out thanks to its simple interface, soft brand colors, and focus on people, not just data.
