John joined Orbital Engine Corporation (OEC) in 1987 after holding senior roles in various subsidiaries at Conzinc Rio Tinto Australia (CRA -now RTZ the world's second largest mining house) and the State Energy Commission of Western Australia (SECWA) - the state run electricity and gas utility. John became CFO of Orbital Engine Corporation, and later President of Orbital’s US based Marine Business Unit and General Manager of Orbital’s Australian based Engineering Services Business Unit, and was instrumental in Orbital’s listing on the NYSE. He was a director at Orbital for 10 years. John consults widely to companies helping them commercialise their technologies into global markets using the Guided Innovation process he has developed, with a heavy emphasis on leadership development through TEC (The Executive Connection), and now through programs such as the Malka Customer Development Masterclass at CERI.
