Jill has been a dedicated and caring member of the AAC volunteer team since September 2022.

Her favorite part of volunteering is getting to see and interact with all the cats and kittens, making sure they have everything they need to flourish and find their forever home.

When it comes to mentoring, Jill loves sharing how to work with each cat’s unique personality to make them more comfortable. She is a strong believer that small, personalized comforts can make a huge difference in a shelter environment.

She teaches other volunteers how to read behavior to find the right solutions: whether it's offering different food options to a picky eater or giving a nervous cat a soft bed or stuffed animal for extra security.

A true local, Jill was born and raised right here in Austin. When she's not helping our feline residents, you might find her riding horses!
