How can technology be used to meet patients where they need to be met at the time and in the way that they need to be met? The first step of a patient’s journey to seeking appropriate care is often the most critical, and it can set the stage for a patient’s experience while navigating through the healthcare continuum. Creating a strategy that incorporates the pain points, needs and desires of patients is crucial to establishing new models of care that shift the perspective on how healthcare is delivered. As Atlanta’s tech ecosystem grows, space is created for HealthDesignED at Emory to become the focal point of health innovation.

Startups + Orgs I Work With (On the Side)
Venture Capital is where I would love for my next role to fall in, and with the growth and funding of several startups, (especially in healthcare!) now would be a fantastic time to get more acquainted with the fundamentals. In the Spring of 2021, I participated in the Republic Venture Fellowship and Associate program, where we focused on learning the fundamentals of VC and angel investing, observing live deal experiences through the Republic investment team, and receiving mentorship from Republic Venture Partners.
At the end of the program, Republic had us develop our own investment thesis - here's my take on what's happening with the application of blockchain in the health tech space.
