Accessing Your Site

To access your Wix site, navigate to https://users.wix.com/signin, click on the Login In link at the top of the page, and enter your login credentials. After you have logged in, you will arrive on the dashboard.

To edit your site, click on the Site Actions button and choose the Edit Site option. This will load the homepage of your site in edit mode. You can navigate to other pages on your site using the Page drop down option in the toolbar at the top of the page.

Basic Editing

Wix uses an intuitive what-you-see-is-what-you-get style editor which makes updating content easy. In many cases, to update text, simply double click on the text you wish to update and make your changes. The new text added in will inherit the style of the text around it to match.

If you need to make changes to the text (such as to make certain words bold or underlined), you may do so using the Text Settings flyout that appears when you edit text.

Editing Exhibitions

Exhibitions are on your site are handled through the Repeater feature within Wix. This features formats items in the list and allows you to easily change the order.

To manage the list of exhibitions, navigate to the Exhibitions page. Click on the list and then click on the Manage Items button as seen below.

This will bring up a list of all exhibitions represented as Item 1, Item 2, etc. To change the order of the exhibitions, click and drag on the icon to the left of the item title. You can see the order change in real time on the actual page.

The easiest way to add in a new exhibition is to click on Item 1 in the list and then the Duplicate Item button. As expected, this will create an exact copy of the item. On the actual page, you can now double click on the title or date of the exhibition to update it.

When you are done updating the list of exhibitions, either click the Publish button to make it live on the site immediately or the Save button to come back to it later.

Managing Your Portfolio

All images for your portfolio exist in a single database separated by category tags to appear on their own pages. This allows the site to display the right images in the right gallery page and allows you to manage all the pieces in a central location on the site.

To manage your portfolio, from the Wix dashboard, click on the Content Manager link in the left hand menu. Hover over the Portfolio Pieces collection and click on the Open Collection button. This will show you a list of all the pieces added to your portfolio:

Saving and Publishing

Wix allows you to either save your work to come back to it later or publish it to go live to the rest of the world. When you are done updating your site, either click the Publish button to make it live on the site immediately or the Save button to come back to it later.

Accessing Messages from Visitors

You site has a built-in contact form which allows visitors to communicate with you. While these messages are emailed to you, Wix keeps a running list of all submitted contact messages. To access these messages click on the Customer Management link in the left hand menu from the dashboard.

These messages are also stored in the Content Management section of the site.
