Note: This is the second update for a month-long project I’ve been working on for a professional and personal development program called Praxis. For the month of May, I’m going to be building a dropshipping store from scratch using Shopify, Spocket, and a variety of other tech tools. Additionally, I’ll be learning from a variety of dropshipping courses, experimenting with Facebook ads, and optimizing my store for SEO.

If you want to learn more, check out the landing page for this project that I created.

Goals for This Month

Skills I Gained This Week

I refined my learning-out-loud skills. I created two blog posts on what I’m learning and strengthened the habit of regularly writing about how I’m growing.

I learned how to create a professional store. I learned the ins and outs of Shopify and how to create categories and subcategories for a branded niche dropshipping store. Shopify actually is pretty intuitive to use, but there’s so much to learn.

I refined my product description writing skills. I learned how to write enticing product descriptions.

What I Accomplished This Week

I wrote a blog post explaining the path from being a dropshipper to becoming a brand-builder. I also wrote a lengthy blog post explaining Spocket and Oberlo. I went through modules 2-4 of Ecommerce Millionaire Mastery, which covers branded niche dropshipping, consumer psychology and the buying experience, and an introduction to Shopify web design.

I also imported products to my Shopify store from Spocket and Oberlo. I also created a logo, picked a store name, and added shop pages such as an about us page and contact us page.
