About Sing One Song

Sing One Song is making music learning fun and easy - like Duolingo did for languages, starting with voice.

We’re building AI-powered vocal coaching in the form of games and challenges designed to teach songs. Our early playful experiences include:

• Vocal DNA Test - analyzes your voice and matches you to artists & songs
• **SingShot** - a rhythm game where your voice is the controller

Current online music learning tools are boring and intimidating for casual users. Our mission is to make singing accessible, fun, and habit-forming, and to use AI to create a million new singers.

The Role

We’re hiring a Founding Game Engineer (Mobile) to own everything that makes our vocal coach feel like a delightful, game‑like(no flashcards) experience: core loops, progression systems, and feedback that make people want to come back and sing again.

You’ll be one of the first technical hires, working closely with Jacob Singh (ex–Country Head, Acquia Drupal; ex–CPTO, Blinkit, former VC at Sequoia India & Alpha Wave Global).

What you’ll do

Build playful, game‑like experiences around singing

• Closely work with product and users to build ship interactive games
  • Prototype and ship our AI based voice insights into game systems, unlocks, and quests.
  • Integrate voice as inputs into various game experiences(similar to singshot.singonesong.com)
• Use a mobile‑friendly game engine (likely Unity, but open to other strong options) to quickly prototype new ideas.
• Iterate rapidly on mechanics, timing windows, UI flows, and “juicy” feedback (animations, particles, camera shakes, etc.).

Own the client‑side game architecture

• Implement game state, progression systems, rewards, and meta‑game (XP, streaks, badges, etc.)
• Collaborate closely with our small team to plug into pitch/rhythm detection and real‑time feedback.
