We are a digital community of African innovators, creatives and builders who desire to create a better work life experience for themselves, where they are supported to be the best versions of themselves. These are people who truly believe in the future of Africa and are actively building to create a future they believe in.

About

At Itana, we are deliberate in building an intentional community of Itans who will support and inspire one another. We believe in listening to the community at every step of the way in designing our dream city.

We created the Digital Residency, a first step to becoming a physical resident at Itana and accessing a plethora of our digital services. Our Community is modeled to enable Itans to connect, learn from one another, and design the experiences they want to have at Itana.

*Itanna means ‘blossom’ in the language of Yoruba. It’s the new name we’ve given to our first city in Lagos.

Mission

It started with a blog post by Iyinoluwa Aboyeji. We are building the ideal place for the builders of tomorrow, Africa’s Silicon Valley to unlock the continent’s digital economy.

Africa faces a unique set of challenges, from the japa syndrome in search of greener pastures to constantly interrupted power and policy environment.

Yet, there are a million reasons to believe in Africa —

By 2050, Africa will beat Asia in population.

The continent witnesses $4bn in tech investment in 2021, a figure that’s been doubling every year.
