# **Italian in 1 Day: Vocabulary** — Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy describes how **Italian Learn** (“we”, “our”, or “the app”) handles information when you use our Italian vocabulary app on iPhone and iPad.

## 1. Data stored on your device

Italian Learn stores the following data **only on your device**:

- **Word lists** — lists you create, upload (e.g. via CSV), or add words to
- **Learning progress** — which words you’ve learned, review history, and statistics
- **App settings** — such as theme and preferences

This data is not automatically sent to our servers. We do not have access to it unless you contact support and voluntarily share information (e.g. in a bug report).

## 2. Data we do not collect

We do **not**:

- Collect personal data for advertising
- Sell or rent your data to third parties
- Use your word lists or progress for marketing or analytics in the current version of the app

## 3. Third-party services

- **App Store (Apple)**  
  Downloading, updating, or making in-app purchases is subject to [Apple’s Privacy Policy](<https://www.apple.com/legal/privacy/>) and App Store terms. We do not receive your Apple ID or payment details.

- **Expo / EAS (build and update services)**  
  If we use Expo or EAS for building or over-the-air updates, their privacy practices apply to those operations. We do not use them to collect your vocabulary or learning data.

If we add other third-party services in the future (e.g. analytics or crash reporting), we will update this policy and describe what data is collected and why.

## 4. Analytics and crash reporting

At the moment we do not use analytics or crash reporting. If we introduce them later, we will:

- Describe them in this Privacy Policy
- Use them in a way that minimizes identification of individual users
- Comply with applicable law (including consent where required)

## 5. Children

Italian Learn is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will take steps to delete it.

## 6. Your rights and choices

- **Access and deletion**  
  You can delete all your data at any time via **Account** → **Erase All Data** in the app. This removes your lists and progress from the device.

- **Corrections**  
  You can edit or delete words and lists yourself inside the app.

- **Data portability**  
  You can export your lists (e.g. via CSV) using the app’s export or backup features, if available.

If you are in the European Economic Area or another region with specific privacy rights, you may have additional rights (e.g. access, rectification, erasure, restriction, portability, objection). Contact us using the details below to exercise them.

## 7. Data security

Data is stored on your device using the platform’s standard storage (e.g. local storage / keychain as applicable). We do not transmit your word lists or learning progress to our servers in the current version. You are responsible for keeping your device and any backups secure.

## 8. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post the updated version with a new “Last updated” date. For significant changes, we may notify you in the app or via the App Store update notes. Continued use of the app after changes means you accept the updated policy.
